GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Anthracite is used as filter media for turbidity and suspended solid removal in water and waste water treatment. Since the specific gravity of anthracite is lighter than that of sands, it is normally used in combination with sands in dual media or multimedia filtration.

Particle Size : 1) 0.8 mm – 1.2 mm (0.9 mm)
2) 0.8 mm – 1.5 mm (1.2 mm)
3) 1.4 mm – 2.5 mm (1.7 mm)
Bulk Density : 750 – 850 kg/m3
Specific Gravity : ≈1.45
Acid Solubility : < 1%
Solubility in 1% NaOH : < 2%
Hardgrove Grindability : ≤ 50%

Anthracite is available in 25kg bag and 1,000kg jumbo bag.
